- Attack on Theed: Final Assault
Courtyard III by SM Sith Lord

In this courtyard I wanted to have a tall monument or statue as the center point. I knew the courtyard would be situated in a semi-circular area, so bilateral symmetry would work perfect. I included the elevated planters to break the player’s line of sight from his perspective on the ground. The small bushes are near the statue while the larger trees are in the back, that way the large trees don’t make the statue look smaller. For the statue I decided a Washington Monument replica would work fine. I added a couple benches and the center peice of the courtyard was decided upon.

Along the walls of the courtyard against the river I wanted some kind of noticeable decoration to show Theed’s metal working skills. I decided large embossed metal picture plates would accomplish this. On the edges of the plates I added curved metal beams that flowed into the ground, inspired by the sea serpent.

I wanted the entrance to the courtyard to be bottlenecked in no force games but I didn’t want to make anything so big that it would take away from the center piece. It had to be possible to shoot through the bordering wall, so I went with the old fashioned metal spike fence.
